Angela Joy Lamb
Soprano
Connecticut born soprano, teaching artist and soloist Angela Joy Lamb is thrilled to call Washington State home with her husband! Angela Joy holds a MM from the Manhattan School of Music where she worked with internationally recognized voice teacher Ruth Golden. In previous seasons Ms. Lamb was scheduled to make her role debut as Konstanze in the Brevard Music Center’s Production of Die Entführung Aus dem Serail. Ms. Lamb was selected as a finalist in the Joy In Singing Competition Semi-finals in New York City. Ms. Lamb has also been a finalist in the Art Song Preservation Society’s Competition. During her time in New York, she had the opportunity to work with faculty coaches and singers from the Metropolitan Opera, Manhattan School of Music, Juilliard and Mannes. She has studied language and performed internationally, most recently in Germany, Italy and France. Opera, classical music and musical theater are her joys. She is passionate about passing on her love for all styles of music with others.
Angela Joy believes strongly in the importance of giving back to the community through volunteering. In recent years, she returned to her high school alma mater, where she assisted with an all girl’s after school choir and assisted with the school’s drama program.
Angela Joy is the daughter of the director a music and worship arts a United Methodist Church in CT. This relationship inspired Angela Joy’s passion for sacred music and nurtured a passion for choral and sacred music, worship design, visual arts, fundraising campaign development, social media and website design. Angela Joy completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the Hartt School of Music, as a double major in Vocal Performance and Music Management.
Recent Choral credits include soprano section leader with the Hartford Chorale under the direction of Richard Coffey and Jack Pott.
